Below are the places where I’m presently devoting my energies. The unifying thread tying much of this work together is the application of cognitive neuroscience and ancestral health principles to unlock human potential, and the promotion of a core set of ideas. Wherever possible, I try to team up with really smart people with similar interests!
I am the Founder of Brainjo, which creates educational resources that utilize the Brainjo Method, a system of instruction based on the science of learning and neuroplasticity.
Currently, there are courses for clawhammer banjo, fingerstyle banjo, fiddle, and ukulele. Many more to follow.

The Turknett Center for Neurology & Cognitive Enhancement
I’m a board certified neurologist. I have a B.A. in Cognitive Neuroscience from Wesleyan University, an M.D. from Emory University, and completed my residency training at the University of Florida.
My areas of special expertise include migraine and cognitive disorders. Most of my work with patients is now done virtually, as this allows for flexible scheduling and the opportunity to work with people outside of my geographical area.

humanOS is a health-performance application for unlocking human potential in individuals and organizations. I currently serve as the Chief Medical Officer.
The central driver of underperformance and illness is the mismatch between our present and natural habitat. As such, minimizing mismatch is essential in order to reach our cognitive potential, prevent chronic illness, and thrive. humanOS is a tool for helping people do so.

The Migraine Miracle
The Migraine Miracle began as a book, outlining how chronic migraine sufferers can apply the principles of ancestral health to end their battle with The Beast.
It has since grown into an international community that continues to expand, along with an ecosystem of support including a website, podcast, private membership community, training program, and Facebook group.
Long story short, the results achieved by those in this community are testament to the power of a holistic, systems-based, evolutionarily-minded approach to health. Results far exceeding anything achievable with modern medicines alone are already available to us for most of the chronic diseases common today and that limit the human health and lifespan (including Alzheimer’s, stroke, heart disease, diabetes, and cancer).
